The InviMag Universal Bacteria Kit/ KF96 allows for rapid and economical purification of bacterial DNA from a broad range of bacteria species and different sources using magnetic beads. The InviMag Universal Bacteria Kit/ KF96 has been designed for automated preparation on the KingFisher 96 and Flex 96 workstations. Up to 96 samples in parallel can be processed.

Overview

For a wide range of different samples the InviMag Universal Bacteria Kit/ KF96 includes protocols adapted to many kinds of starting material. The lysed samples are transferred onto the workstation to the subsequent automatic purification procedure based on magnetic beads. The DNA binds to magnetic particles, followed by washing steps and the final elution.
High extraction efficiency is realized. The purified high quality DNA is ready to use for subsequent downstream applications or can be stored at –20 °C for subsequent use:

• PCR
• real-time PCR (quantitative PCR, like TaqMan and LightCycler technologies)
• restriction digestion
• RFLP analysis

*The addition of Carrier RNA is necessary for the enhancement of DNA recovery in samples with low nucleic acid content. Carrier RNA also stabilizes nucleic acids in samples with very small nucleic acid concentrations
